Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Church is an alternative rock singer-songwriter with a classically trained voice capable of moving from a near-whisper to something considerably bigger. Her songs tend to live in that same territory—personal, emotionally direct, and built around the tension between restraint and release.

Her first album, Letting Go, arrived in 2023 and established the sound. Since then, singles Drive, Always a Way, and Pause Button have pointed toward album number two, Shadows of Time.

Meanwhile, Church and her band have been putting in the miles. They've played The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, The Casbah and Corktown Pub in Hamilton, Musiikki Café in Kingston, Live On Elgin in Ottawa, and Casa del Popolo in Montreal. In 2025 came Hamilton's Supercrawl and the Steelport Stage. In August 2026, the band appeared at the Dundas Cactus Festival, where the King & Albert Stage became another chance to introduce the songs to a larger audience.

There's also been television. Church appeared on Come Dine with Me Canada, performing original music alongside guitarist Adam Ostrosser. It's all part of a gradual expansion beyond the clubs and rooms where the project began.

Now comes Shadows of Time.

Sarah Church and her band will release the new album with a special performance at Hamilton's Corktown Pub on Saturday, October 24 from 2–5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at sarahchurch.ca.
